I failed to talk action to talk to a guy at school because I didn't know how to start a conversation and didn't know if he had a girlfriend. What to do?

Answer from our relationship expert:

Starting a conversation with someone you're interested in can feel intimidating, but it's important to remember that everyone experiences nerves in social situations. Begin by finding common ground or shared interests to initiate the conversation. You could ask for help with a class assignment, compliment something you admire about them, or simply introduce yourself and ask how their day is going. Be genuine, smile, and maintain eye contact to show your interest and friendliness. If you're unsure about their relationship status, you can casually ask if they're seeing anyone or mention your own relationship status in conversation. Most importantly, be confident and believe in yourself, as confidence is attractive and can help you overcome any initial awkwardness.
